At present enhancing aviation safety and building capacity as the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority for the six Eastern Caribbean States of Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Building the technical and administrative teams by positively displacing the old norms while working to restore FAA Category 1 and simultaneously transitioning the Effective Implementation of the SARPs well into the upper quartile range.
With an excellent span of 23 years civil aviation safety oversight experience in the Caribbean and the Middle East including managing the flight standards department, being a leading member in establishing a compliance monitoring system, previous NCMC, airworthiness and model regulations development and 9 years airline engineering experience as project manager government business unit, quality assurance, base/line/workshop maintenance.
I fully endorse practical and on-the-job training having borne the benefit of 18 months OJT under UKCAA Surveyors, there is no substitute for mentoring and furthering learning between peers. I am eager to build on my master’s degree and progress to a PhD in Aviation Project Management.
