Deborah Stephenson

International Training Program Manager, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Deborah Stephenson is the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) International Training Program Manager as well as the FAA’s ICAO & International Training Branch Manager. Ms. Stephenson was instrumental in achieving the FAA’s Curriculum Transformation Initiative for competency-based training for Aviation Safety Inspectors and continues to leverage emerging technology for a blended approach to new training initiatives. She manages the ICAO Government Safety Inspector Training program and is the FAA representative to the ICAO Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP). Ms. Stephenson collaborated with ICAO for the generation of the Civil Aviation Safety Inspectors’ Competency Manual and the creation of International Generic Inspector Training Profiles. Ms. Stephenson’s latest initiatives include the creation of an FAA International Training catalogue and the identification of new training development projects to fill training needs across the globe. She has 41 years of government experience and over 30 years managing training and technical programs. Ms. Stephenson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Park University and is a graduate of the USG Executive Leadership Development Program.
