

Mong Kai Sim
Deputy Director (Business Development), Singapore Aviation Academy
Mong Kai is the Deputy Director of Business Development at the Singapore Aviation Academy. He is responsible for training partnerships, strategic planning and leads the transformation of the academy.
Prior to this, Mong Kai was responsible for the regulatory oversight of unmanned aircraft in Singapore. He facilitated innovative new use cases and the adoption of unmanned aircraft technology, while ensuring public safety and raising public awareness on unmanned aircraft regulations.
Mong Kai had also served as the Technical Expert to the Permanent Mission of Singapore to the Council of ICAO, focusing on the economic regulation of air transport and environment matters. He was actively involved in the development of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation, through participation in various fora on environment matters in ICAO.
Mong Kai graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) from the National University of Singapore and has a Master in Business Administration from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
