Director East African School of Aviation (EASA), Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) and President Association of African Aviation Training Organizations (AATO)
Dr. Mugambi M’Nchebere was appointed as the Director EASA in November, 2014. EASA is the training directorate of KCAA and International Civil aviation Organization (ICAO) Platinum Training Centre of Excellence. In 2019 Dr. Mugambi was elected the President of the Association of African Aviation Training Organizations (AATO).
Previously, Dr. Mugambi worked at Moi University for ten years (2004-2014) as a Lecturer and Head of Business Management programs. During his professional career he has served in various professional and functional appointments, including Financial Accountant, Afrofreight Forwarders Kenya Ltd. (2000-2003), Audit Senior, PKF (1994-2000).
Dr. Mugambi M’Nchebere holds a Ph.D in Strategic Management from Kenyatta University; MBA (Strategic Management); Bachelor of Commerce from University of Nairobi and Diploma in Civil Aviation Management from Singapore Aviation Academy. Dr. Mugambi has supervised many graduate students and has published widely in international refereed Journals focusing on Market Strategy, Strategic Capabilities and Corporate Performance.
Dr Mugambi represents EASA in ICAO Global Aviation Training (GAT) Steering Committee and is also a council member of the Association of African Aviation Training Organization (AATO). Besides he is a full member of Marketing society of Kenya (MSK) and Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
